May 13th, 2025, not the average Tuesday night, is where I found myself seeing what turned out to be the most energized live performance I've experienced in a long time of attending shows, by none other than Keep Flying on "wave one" of their Time & Tide Tour, which stopped off at Jack Rabbits Live! In Jacksonville, Florida.

Keep Flying is a New York-based rock band that was formed in 2016. Blending elements of punk, pop, and hardcore, their dynamic sound is elevated by a signature horn section, adding a bold edge to their high-energy anthems. Lyrically, the band explores themes of resilience, fear, depression, failure, and success, crafting music that is both powerful and deeply personal. They have performed with such acts as The Bouncing Souls, Bowling For Soup, Real Friends, Reel Big Fish, State Champs, Four Year Strong, Less Than Jake, Big D and the Kids Table, as well as multiple appearances on the Four Chord, Vans Warped Tour, SXSW, Great South Bay, So What?!, The FEST, and many more.

From the start til end of their performance, Keep Flying delivered a high-energy set that night, with their signature blend of emotional punk rock with ska-influenced brass sections. As soon as they hit the stage, a feeling is released in the atmosphere that's charged with an electric energy and emotionally sincere connection that gets the crowd pumped up! Their setlist included much of their fan-favorites like "Misbehave" and "Unbreakable," but this show also unlocked some tunes promoting their newest Horn-filled album, Time & Tide.

Playing many fresh tunes from the album like "Surviving", "198 Broadway" and, my personal favorite, the catchy "Mistakes" filled with a sure to be an iconic whistling followed by their signature horns. Collectively, these tunes delivered a performance that made the crowd alternate a series of pushing, jumping, spinning and dancing that matched the bands performance on stage.

Diving more into their newest album I mentioned above, Time & Tide, which was released April 24th via Smartpunk Records: The full-length album displays a push of boundaries of their punk-rock, pop, and hardcore sound, showcasing a more polished take on their signature sound. I personally love how it's brought to life with their tight guitar work, synchronized percussion, and soaring anthemic horns! Diving into lyrically touching themes like mental health and fleeting joy, the album as a whole is beautifully composed together, making up what Keep Flying is!

Below you can keep up with their tour to see if they are playing a show near you!
