Many artists have tried to recreate that early Y2K pop sound we once heard in nostalgic rom-coms, yet Alessi Rose has completely nailed it in her new single, "Same Mouth." This is the first song released from her upcoming EP, Voyeur. The catchy song is produced by Josh Scarbrow and Sam De Jong, who have worked with artists like Gracie Abrams, Arlo Parks, and Lennon Stella. "Same Mouth" is a song about the frustration and confusion that comes with a one-sided relationship with someone, but also paints the picture of how it is something that is a choice in a way, and you see these issues but decide to look the other way. With lyrics like "Paint the red flags green" or "You're just how I predicted, but I love the sick and twisted," she perfectly captures the emotional frustration of going through the feelings that people deal with all the time in relationships.

This single is Alessi's debut under Capitol Records, but it is not the first time she has released a hit. She is a small, but upcoming, London-based artist with over 500k monthly listeners on Spotify. With songs like "... oh my" and "imsochillandcool," Alessi has collected millions of streams with her strong vocals and beautiful writing abilities. She recently sold out two European headline tours and announced another tour for the EP, Voyeur. Alessi Rose is making her mark in this industry and doing it perfectly.

Alessi has a busy schedule coming up soon, including her newest EP, Voyeur, which will be out on July 25th. She will also be joining some familiar names on tour, including Dua Lipa for her arena and stadium tour in Europe and Tate McRae on the Miss Possessive North American tour. So wherever you are in the world, be prepared to be wowed by Alessi Rose and her talent.

This new chapter for her career is very much an exciting one and something to keep an eye out for. "Same Mouth" is a perfect introduction to Alessi and her soft yet bold sound. The guitar-driven song is super catchy and the perfect song for summer. I am excited to explore her and her talents more when her EP drops on July 25th.
