Closing out their North American headliner tour with a sold-out show, Death by Romy returned home to Los Angeles, because, where else to end the Hollywood Forever Tour if not in Hollywood itself?

PRETTYUGLY opened the night and were a pleasure to watch. It’s clear the lead vocalist shares a deep connection with the lyrics, and before each song, she invited the audience to tap into a specific emotion, and then brought that feeling to life through her performance and powerful vocals. She brought the energy up and the audience was ready to party!

The Moroccan Lounge may be a small, atmospheric venue, but this show pushed it to its limits, with the final date of the tour sold out, the room was packed wall to wall.

Death by Romy, a controversial LA-born singer-songwriter, fearlessly defies genres and challenges the stereotypes of what a female artist “should” be. Her snake-like, fluid movements, powerful vocal range, and complete devotion to the stage make her impossible to look away from. Romy’s styling is just as deliberate as her performance, every detail feels intentional, from the tiny cross on her belly ring and personalized nail art to the mini skirt patched with her own photo.

The crowd was a mix of all kinds of people: a lot of girls in their twenties dressed in styles similar to Romy's, men of all ages who seemed to rock out the hardest, and even an elderly woman dressed in full nun attire. A special guest in the crowd was Romy’s mother, who made her way to the front row with watering eyes as she witnessed the proud moment, head banging alongside the fans.

The set lasted just a little over an hour, but was packed with their biggest tracks like “Pray To Me” “XXXhibitionist” and “Bitchfamous”. The tight space and lack of AC gave the venue a raw, basement-show vibe: sweaty, packed, and quite intimate. With barely any room to move and the heat rising fast, you couldn’t help but feel physically connected to the people around you, whether you wanted to or not.

The girls have great synergy, effortlessly transitioning from choreographed routines to improvised solos. Each member gets a moment to shine, all while keeping the energy high and delivering a show that leaves fans more than satisfied. The night ended with an encore performance and roses tossed into the audience, making it, as noted by Romy herself, a night to remember.
