In less than a month since her last release, Lily Forte is back again with a brand new single for fans. "Out of the Blue" was given to fans around the middle of November, and Forte showed her ability to access a part of her soul to create music that stems from the deepest reaches of one's heart. Continuing the art of storytelling, Forte has just released "The Luckiest," and it once again showcases the immense talent this musical artist has.
Forte's specialty of creating a song that reads like poetry and is sung with a passion that is nothing short of amazing. "The Luckiest" almost seems to stray away from the utter sadness that stemmed from "Out of the Blue." I know Forte stated that when writing "Out of the Blue,"
“I felt intrigued by the thought of transmitting to someone through song. Like if I write these words, maybe he will finally hear me.”
Yet... this new release seems to almost dance around that same concept, but in the aftermath. It almost comes across as the speaker from that first song coming to terms with what has happened and realizing that "The Luckiest" might actually be just them, as they avoid some potential disaster. Upon further listening, could this potentially be a callout to the music industry as a whole? With lyrics like "Won't be seeing me later / This new life you found / I'm sweet like honey /Go make your money," the possibilities of the "real message" could be endless.
You know what else is endless? The amount of times I'll be telling you to go and listen to this release, because it is sure to leave you not just wanting, but craving more.
