The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX, hosted the close-out show for the "Lonely God Tour" North America on December 7, 2025. When I tell you I had been anticipating this show for over six months, it is not an exaggeration. The suspense of the wait was worth it, and moments from the night will be replaying in my head all week.
"The Lonely God" North American Tour featured the headliner, Fit For a King, and the incredible openers 156/Silence, Spite, and, depending on which part of the country you were in, Currents or Make Them Suffer.
It was a brisk 31 degrees and windy last night, but that didn't stop the line from wrapping around the building, waiting for entrance to the show. I stayed warm and toasty in my car and got there right at the doors opening time, and the venue was nicely filled upon my entrance! It was the perfect kind of full, where you can still breathe and move freely, but the crowd had filled the room, and there was an anticipatory feeling in the air.
156/Silence, a hardcore band from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, wowed the full house early on with their heavy sound and intensity. I will most definitely be adding them to my Spotify playlist and checking out more of their music. They were full of energy and impossible to look away from. The bassist worked the merch table toward the end of the night, and he was super kind and down to earth while I purchased some stickers and a shirt. I don't know if I can ever have too many band tees, and I was thrilled to add theirs to my stash.

Spite, a heavy deathcore band from California, was next. I loved the crowd's energy for their set. Little toddlers sitting in the family seats off to the side of the stage were up and dancing around, children sat up high on dad and mom's shoulders in the crowd, and a few even crowd surfed. The costumed folks added a fun spunk to the night. I'd go so far as to say Spite was the heaviest band of the night, and the fans ate it up. If you want to rock out to hostile, angry, snarling, and unapologetically aggressive music, then Spite is the right band for you. Their newest album, "New World Killer," is one of my favorite album releases this year, and features songs like "Lights Out" and "Looking Glass" (featuring Boundaries).

Currents took the stage next, and I was beyond excited. They're such a great band to witness live, and bass player Chris Pulgarin is one of my top favorite musicians. Chris mesmerizes fans with how many spins and jumps he can do while playing bass on stage. Currents stage energy and presence are always top notch.
They played a combination of new songs from their latest EP release, "All That Follows," along with some older fan favorites. "Can't Turn Back" is one of my favorite songs across the metalcore genre--it's a heavy hitter. "It Only Gets Darker" is balanced with melody and grit. This EP is in my opinion, some of their best work, and I continue to enjoy everything they produce as they have evolved over the years. Check it out for some of the sickest breakdowns!

Everyone in the venue was ready for Fit For A King. Three screens backing the stage showed these jarring black and white images while we waited in suspense (see picture below). As the band members came out, everyone cheered--and the audience roared when, at last, vocalist Ryan Kirby took front and center. Fit For A King played the "Lonely God" album--pretty sure in its entirety, with a few older songs like "Engraved" sprinkled in. They ended with an encore of "When Everything Means Nothing," a fantastic sing-along that the crowd indulged in, and "Witness The End," a perfect heavy hitter to close with.
FFAK has been making music for many years together, and their sound has only evolved and strengthened with their sense of brotherhood and camaraderie. Vocalist Ryan Kirby shared that he grew up playing music in Dallas, being from Fort Worth, TX, so this was a hometown show of sorts. Hometown shows always have a unique and powerful connection for both fans and musicians, and I felt the connection last night. The Lonely God Tour US closed out with a bang. Hopefully we gave them a perfect finale before they head to Europe and Australia soon.
If you made it through this whole article and haven't given the album "Lonely God" a listen, I highly recommend checking it out!
