You know that feeling when you see an artist that you've been listening to for years, and you feel that sense of deep, deep nostalgia? On Friday night, MGM Music Hall at Fenway wasn’t just a concert venue for the audience: it was a living, breathing reminder of the soundtrack of a decade. Quinn XCII took the stage for the second night of his Look! I’m Alive tour, weaving together the anthems that first defined a generation of college pregames with the introspective, optimistic energy of his newest album. This wasn’t just a celebration of music but a reflection on growth, connection, and the ways a song can follow you from dorm rooms and frat parties all the way to adulthood.

Much of the show spotlighted Quinn’s new album, Look! I’m Alive: a project steeped in resilience and self-reflection. Songs like “Yellow Brick Road” and “Dodged a Bullet”—two songs that embody hopeful thinking of what the future holds—resonated deeply with the crowd, and they made this very clear as they sang the lyrics alongside Quinn.
Of course, longtime fans were treated to a string of favorites that first made him a staple of 2010s college soundtracks: from “Straightjacket” to “Flare Guns,” a fan favorite featuring his close friend and collaborator Chelsea Cutler, whom he proudly reminded the audience is a New England native. Quinn even joined the crowd for "Kings of Summer," which is undoubtedly a key soundtrack to many of his fans' college years.
Whether you discovered me from this new album, or by hearing my music at a college pregame, thank you for sticking with me.
The crowd also cheered knowingly when Quinn slipped into “Look How Far We’ve Come,” which includes the lyric “Watch the stars in Cambridge / ’Cause you’re way too smart for Boston College.” I think Boston is willing to forgive him for that one.

Quinn’s stage presence was as vibrant as his music. He danced around with unfiltered energy, turning the entire venue into a party. His playful and carefree energy drew the crowd closer to his orbit.
With Look! I’m Alive, Quinn XCII has proven that his music continues to evolve with each chapter, while still holding tight to the spirit that first brought fans together.
The night’s most memorable moment came when Quinn reappeared on the balcony of Citizens House of Blues after the show, microphone in hand, to serenade the streets of Boston. Passersby and fans alike turned Lansdowne Street into an impromptu singalong.
For Boston, the second night of the tour was a strong reminder of how music has the power to connect, uplift, and keep us all very much alive.
With 19 shows left on the tour across the USA, there's still time to check out this incredible celebration of a show. Grab your tickets to the Look! I'm Alive tour soon!
