Over the weekend, I had the absolute luxury to stop by the famous Sons of Hermann Hall in downtown Dallas, TX to see a band that reminded me just how impactful music can be. Yes, I'm talking about Horsegirl. Accompanied by Godcaster, the two bands delivered a performance of a lifetime to start the weekend off right and I'm sure I speak for the fans in attendance how much we are impatiently waiting for their return.

Godcaster started the night off with a bang and as the band took their positions, all you could see was a sea of fans with smiles on their face as they were having the time of their life. Even though it isn't my go-to genre, I even found myself singing along and having an amazing time (pretty impressive task considering how much of a party-pooper I am). Godcaster not only sang and performed their hearts out, but you could easily tell that this isn't just a job or something to do. For this band, you could tell just how passionate they are about the music they play. This is something many fans can argue is missing from the music world: a band that is dedicated to the craft.

As the hall continued to fill with fans and the sun began to set on this hot Friday night, it was time for what everyone was waiting for. It was time for Horsegirl to take the stage. While it was my first time seeing the band perform live, the countless other fans in attendance knew exactly what was coming. With over a hundred thousand monthly listeners on Spotify alone, Horsegirl knew exactly how to work the crowd and deliver a stellar performance. The talent radiating from these musicians was nothing short of jaw-dropping as it was apparent to anyone and everyone at the venue that this is a band that has spent months and years to produce the best result possible.
While I don't know what the future has in store for this band, I cannot imagine it is going to be anything but bright, positive, and allow them to become the very best band possible.
