Kami Kehoe has been making a name for herself in the music world for quite some time and she is showing no signs of stopping. From touring alongside Seether and Daughtry, to dropping her "KANDY" EP, to amassing over one million Instagram followers, 10 million TikTok likes, and over 75 million streams in 2025 alone, Kehoe must be dead set on making sure that every corner of the planet knows her name. So, why would 2026 be any different? Starting the year off with a bang, Kehoe has decided to drop a cover of "SEX ON FIRE", and it has raised the bar for the year so high that I don't know many artists that would be able to reach it.

The end of 2025 saw the release of "FADE OUT" and I quite honestly didn't think it would be possible to outdo that release. Clocking in at just over three minutes, "FADE OUT" outdid any and all expectations I had in a single. With lyrics like "Get out of my mind, get out of my life / Go find somebody to stay with tonight / One day you'll fade out", Kehoe has this unmatched ability to incorporate haunting vocals and an unsettling aura that dances across the words, leaving you with tears rolling down your cheeks while you scream the lyrics as loud as possible. With her vocal talents, Kehoe would be a perfect fit as a feature on a Bad Omens or Bring Me The Horizon song, or maybe even they should be featured on one of her songs (just saying).

Kami Kehoe took this iconic song from Kings of Leon and somehow made it all her own. If I didn't know it was a cover, I could be convinced this is a track that is a Kehoe original. Her ability to change the song to a haunting rendition is nothing short of amazing. I must've listened to it at least 10 times in the past hour alone as the words flowed through the speakers to my ears and filled my head with ideas of which films this cover would fit perfectly in. The low tuned distortion, the riffs, the angelic and haunting vocals, the drum fills... don't make me choose a part that I love the most because I don't think it is physically possible. But, if I had to choose something to be my favorite, it would have to be that ending breakdown as it builds up to such an intense moment.

If there was ever a time for you to give Kami Kehoe your full and undivided attention, let this be that time. You will be anything but disappointed.
