King of Cups have released their first new single of the year and it is sure to be a track that brings the band to a new level of a fame. The track, "Watch the World Burn", has everything you need in a song and more from catchy lyrics to fun riffs to an all around vibe that leaves listeners wanting more. This release is the latest in new music from the band as they prepare to release their EP: Elemental.

This new track is quite interesting because it maintains some key components from the previous releases for the EP but this time around, it could easily stand the test of time as a standalone single. Not quite just punk, not quite just post-hardcore, but some sort of incredible mixture of the two genres. Frontman Shaun Zizi mentions:
We wrote this song in the aftermath of the last election cycle—not to take a political stance, but to process the overwhelming frustration we felt watching people turn on each other, truths bend into narratives, and the whole world feel like it was on the verge of combustion.
That message reads loud and clear with lyrics like “They spin their lies, painted gold and bright,” and “We’re all just victims of our own machine." Regardless on how you feel or what your preference is, we've all felt this way in one way or another. With a mix of emotions due to a key moment in time, the song is sure to resonate with fans both new and old.
If this versatility is any indication of the talent of the band and the potential future of the band, I would have to say it is looking bright for King of Cups. I'm sure I speak for many fans when I say we are impatiently for the next release.
