Hailing from Nashville, TN, Edgehill has already proven themself as a force not to be trifled with throughout 2025. After dropping a handful of singles throughout the year and amassing millions of streams across different platforms, the band is ready to take 2026 by storm by dropping their debut album, "Ode To The Greyhouse." The album is nothing short of a musical masterpiece, as the band showcases their talents that transcend a single genre and concept. If there was ever a band to follow the hype train of, let it be Edgehill.

Jake Zimmermann [lead guitar, vocals] states how when making the album the band "made an effort not to get too fancy or cover up the little mistakes" and how they "let the album be the most honest and unfiltered reflection of who we are musically and emotionally." The band's sound reminds me of the late 1990s and early 2000s indie and alternative music, which seems to be exactly what the band intended, as Chris Kelly [lead vocals, guitar] states:

We zeroed in on the music’s textures to create this intangible rawness. A lot of it was inspired by nineties rock, which would have quieter vocals and roaring guitars.

Take the first song off the album, "Drone Song," and tell me you aren't immediately hooked. Especially once that jazz-inspired breakdown hits? Or how about that little guitar solo towards the end? There's something about it that shouldn't work, yet it keeps the listeners actively invested in the best way possible.

One of my favorites, and a fan favorite at that, too, has got to be "Love To Go." With lyrics like "But you will never know how much you made me miserable / Should’ve thrown me away before I got too cold / But you left me out to mold / So now this mess is yours to hold / Don't take my love to go," I find myself singing the words over and over again. The high energy of the song parallels so effortlessly with the lyrics, and it is no wonder why.

When speaking about "Love To Go," the band mentions how:

“Love To Go” was written before the members of Edgehill had even settled on the band’s name. As the second song we ever wrote, it captures the raw, anthemic energy that can only come from the excitement of starting a band. There has never been an Edgehill show without it; it’s a staple of our live set and has grown into a true fan favorite. That’s why it feels especially fitting that its release coincides with the announcement of our first full-length record. There’s something undeniably poetic about that.

Fans will have the opportunity to decide for themselves just how amazing the album is upon its release on the 13th of February. The band will also be heading out on tour this February through April in select cities throughout the United States and Canada.
