As I’ve aged (gracefully), my music tastes have grown far beyond what I grew up on. I mostly listen to a lot of post hardcore, metalcore, and emo rap these days but, to be perfectly honest, I will always be a pop punk kid at heart. And when I heard Old Neon for the first time, the nostalgia and emotions it brought on were intense. I don’t know how to explain it, or what it even is, but they definitely have it.

Old Neon, formed out of Pittsburgh, PA, is made up of Drew Sipos (vocals), Bea Langer (guitar), Sean Michael (bass), Mike McInnes (guitar), and Zach Pollack (drums). The group came together as the world began to reopen and reform (after the COVID pandemic) and began melding their influences into one of the most addictive forms of pop punk that I’ve heard in years.

I got to sit down and chat with Zach and chat about their sound, their brand new EP, Resolution, and more!
