While the music scene might seem oversaturated with bands, both old and new, and it might seem tough to keep up with what is happening, you luckily have come to the right place for news about your new favorite band. With over two decades of experience in the music scene and a ninth album, Qualifying Miles, set to be released on the 18th of July, this is a band that is sure to captivate you for the next two decades. Yes, I am talking about We Are Scientists.

Finding the words to describe this new release from the band is proving difficult, because each and every song brings out a wave of emotions, feelings, and thoughts that leave me grasping for straws, but ultimately ending up empty-handed. How does a band create a new album that is fresh, new, and fun while simultaneously transporting the listener to a world of nostalgia? It's truly a testament to the musical talent of the band.

As I go back and replay the album over and over again, I keep noticing new magical moments in each and every song that leave me with a grin on my face, to the point where I need to stop what I'm doing and just relish the feeling. I mean, can you blame me? Take a song like "Please Don't Say It" and tell me that you aren't in a whirlwind of emotions and thoughts as an upbeat and insatiable bass line dances across a set of lyrics like "Please don’t say it / I’m worried once it’s been said / It never can be unheard again" and tugs at your heart strings. This is all while the song emanates an MGMT, AWOLNATION, Neon Trees type vibe, yet is like nothing I've ever heard before. I don't think there is anything this band can't do.

All I can simply say is this: this release is sure to be a fan favorite instantly. Stream it, buy it, listen to it. Do whatever you need to do because you will not be disappointed by the infectious sounds and songs of We Are Scientists.
