On April 16th, 2026, Lamb of God brought their "Into Oblivion" tour to the Red Hat Amphitheater in Raleigh, North Carolina. Fellow bands Sanguisugabogg, Fit For An Autopsy, and Kublai Khan TX were there to join in on the fun. This tour had entered its second half by this date, and you could tell all of these guys were in their groove.
SANGUISUGABOGG

Sanguisugabogg hit the night off with a bang! While it was still early in the evening, they still got people up and moving in the amphitheater. It truly is hard to have a bad time while listening to Sanguisugabogg, especially with vocalist Devin Swank's phenomenal banter about the man in the crowd dressed as a banana in between songs. The bass was incredibly loud, but not in a bad way. The set was short and sweet but had the heavy hitters fans know and love. They played the classy tracks, "Rotted Entanglement," "Face Ripped Off," "Felony Abuse of A Corpse," "Abhorrent Contraception," and "Dead As Shit." I was pleased to be able to see Sanguisugabogg perform again and will hopefully get to see them again soon!

MY RATING: 3.5 banana costumes out of 5
Joining me to keep things non-biased were Damen and Josh, who had some thoughts of their own:
DAMEN'S RATING: "So, like, we did manage to walk into the venue just a couple minutes late, but I knew it was Sanguisugabogg because it sounded like somebody was rubbing two boulders together and then amplifying it, and I thought that it was perfect. I would say, I wish I could have seen more of the set, but from what I heard, I would give it a solid 4 out of 5. I feel like that's fair."
JOSH'S RATING: "They were very upfront and honest about what they were doing, with song titles such as "Face Ripped Off." I found that entertaining. They really liked the banana guy; I thought that was funny too. I am going to give this set a 3.7."
AVERAGE SET RATING: 3.73 banana costumes out of 5
FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY

Next up was Fit For An Autopsy, a band I have personally seen perform live quite a few times. Every time I see them perform, they are always consistent with their energy and sound. These guys have been doing it for a good amount of time now, so they have their performance locked down. Their set consisted of songs such as "Lower Purpose," "It Comes For You," "The Wretch," and "Pandora." They performed a new song, which I enjoyed a lot. Overall, I think Fit For An Autopsy did a good job at keeping the crowd hyped up and moving for the two remaining acts, which is quite a feat in the random North Carolina April heat.

MY RATING: 3.5 Tragic Beasts out of 5
DAMEN'S RATING: "I mean, I'm not super familiar with their catalog. I've seen them a couple times, and they never disappoint. It seems like they do really well on mixed bills, but I would say that they were probably the weakest part of the entire bill. I thought everything that they played made sense in the setlist, and it didn't feel like it slowed down too much at any point. The very last song had Gojira vibes going on, which was tight. I would still give them a 4 out of 5."
JOSH'S RATING: "They were certainly tight as fuck. All the guys were playing really beautiful instruments. The lead singer had an Obituary shirt, so that's obligatory points right there. They didn't really have anything that stuck out to me as the one thing I thought about, but that's not really to their detriment at all. I would give them 3.5 out of 5.
AVERAGE SET RATING: 3.67 Tragic Beasts out of 5
KUBLAI KHAN TX

Kublai Khan TX was one of the main reasons I was excited to see this show, and boy, they did not disappoint one bit! I love Kublai Khan TX because of the ignorant amount of bass and tough riffs. That all translated beautifully on stage in a live setting. The bass was booming; the riffs made me want to fight. I don't think there is anything more anyone could really ask for from this band. I thought that they had good banter in between songs as well. It seemed like they were all having a great time on stage, too. The set included everything I wanted to see them perform, including songs such as "Boomslang," "The Hammer," "Self-Destruct," "Swan Song," and "Theory of Mind." I was worried that seeing them play in an amphitheater for my first time would put a damper on the experience, but it didn't at all. It was a great set!

MY RATING: 5 Hammers out of 5
DAMEN'S RATING: "Kublai Khan TX — if anyone could figure out how to write a song entirely derived from 808 drops, it would be them. I feel like their actual recorded music doesn't do the show any justice. It was twice as heavy, it was twice as stompy, and I thought the ad-libs in between vocal sections were a lot of fun. I felt like the personality was almost as good as the music. I will never miss them rolling through Raleigh ever again. It was a solid 5. I have zero complaints."
JOSH'S RATING: "The bass. That's what sticks out. I felt like I was listening to a cruise ship start up. It was so fucking bass-y. It was insane. And also the lead singer, his screaming was great, and then he would start talking and just be like, 'how y'all doing? Y'all doing alright?' and honestly, that part was very amusing to me. I enjoyed their set quite a bit. The bassist was killing it. The bassist and guitarist also got in on the vocals at separate points, and that was nice. Kublai Khan TX gets a solid 4 out of 5."
AVERAGE SET RATING: 4.67 Hammers out of 5
LAMB OF GOD

Last, but absolutely not least, Lamb of God took the stage to end the night. They kicked off their perfectly curated set with "Ruin," "Laid to Rest," and "Blood Junkie." The set was long, but there was no point in the set for lulls or for it to feel too long either. The "Into Oblivion" tour is to promote the release of their recent studio album, but they spread out the new songs so well throughout their set. Even a listener that hasn't kept up with their releases in years could still have an amazing time seeing this set!

I thought that the sound was really good overall, but it sounded better towards the sides and back of the amphitheater. The crowd was having a great time — no matter where I was in the venue, they were all dancing, headbanging, and enjoying themselves. They played some classics like "Omerta" and "Walk With Me In Hell," but also added in newer tracks like "Parasocial Christ" and "Sepsis." I was pleased with them ending the show with "Redneck" as well. I think this was one of the best performances I have seen from Lamb of God. I was also worried about seeing them in such a big venue, as I have only seen them at smaller venues, but I think it was equally (if not more) as fun to see them at the amphitheater!

MY RATING: 4.5 rednecks out of 5
DAMEN'S RATING: "Lamb of God. I mean, it's not the first time I've seen them, and it won't be the last time I see them. You never know what to expect, especially with them just recently dropping a record. I thought we were going to hear a lot more deep cuts and new material. They really stuck to a lot of the classics. They did hit us with a couple new ones. Up front, all the way up in the pit, on the rail, it's all kick drum. Honestly though, I was not disappointed with the quality of the show from anywhere that wasn't the pit. It was so much more tolerable everywhere else. It's not exaggerating to say, like, in the pit with the earplugs in, literally, I could not hear the vocals or the guitar. It was just percussion, and that was kind of overwhelming. It was enjoyable in some sense, but still, I'm trying to hear the whole band. They sounded sick once we moved out of the pit. Everything was really tight. Everything was where it was supposed to be. I really liked all their digital effects and the visuals. All the guys are definitely older now, but they're still moving around. They still headbang. They still put on a show. I mean, it's a 5 out of 5."
JOSH'S RATING: "If Kublai Khan TX was bass, Lamb of God was bass drum. I feel like when I had my earplugs in the pit, it was just straight kick drum. He was tight. I mean, he was holding it down. If Kublai Khan was like a cruise ship starting up, Lamb of God was like a helicopter. But that shit was sick, man. Randy Blythe is just a goat. He's got so much energy. I thoroughly enjoyed their whole set, and they finished it with 'Redneck,' so that's like the one thing I was waiting on. So, loved that shit. Solid 5 out of 5."
AVERAGE SET RATING: 4.83 Rednecks out of 5
The 'Into Oblivion' tour is coming to an end soon, but they still have 6 shows left until they're done. You won't be disappointed if you make it out to one of the remaining tour stops!
