The German metalcore band, Rising Insane, have returned with the release of their latest album, Deathrace. The album promises to be heavier and full of high-energy collaborations.
We caught up with Rising Insane's guitarist, Sven Polizuk, to discuss the new album and collaborating with other hard hitters in the scene.

MSM: What unique qualities does each member bring to the band, and how do these qualities strengthen the band overall?
Sven: Basically, the band is a team of five friends, each with their own responsibilities. Some are creative, and some are very good at organizing. Essentially, the processes here are interlinked and overlap. It would be difficult to attribute this to specific individuals. The fact is, however, that we all need each other to keep the project going.
How would you describe the metal scene in Germany, and how has that helped shape your music?
We have a very vibrant metal scene in Germany. There are a lot of great bands and great festivals. One of the bands that definitely helped us grow was annisokay from Halle. We went on tour with them early on and learned a lot from the guys, especially from Christoph Wieczorek.
What does your process look like for deciding which songs you'll release as singles prior to the album?
In the end, it's always about the emotions and how it makes you feel. If a song feels right, makes sense, and fits well into the concept, we choose it. We also have a lot of unreleased songs. :)
Can you tell me a little bit about your upcoming album, Deathrace?
More Riffs, More Breakdowns, More Honest.

Wildfires was released in 2024. How has your music evolved from that album to your upcoming album?
Less synthesizers/samples, less pop music character - more honest and definitely more rough than before.
As you were writing, what themes did you find yourself gravitating towards when you were putting the upcoming album together? Why were these themes important to you?
We’re currently living in a time when there are a lot of conflicts on this planet. At times, it seems as if humanity is doing everything it can to destroy itself. This has been on our minds a lot, and of course it’s reflected in the lyrics on the album.
Which song from your upcoming album do you think will be the biggest hit? Why?
Difficult question - "OUTRAGE" has big chances.
What is the strangest food you have ever eaten while on tour?
Uncooked potatoes - probably not on purpose but it was just gross. :)
You've toured with several well-known names in the scene. So far, what has been your favorite experience while on the road?
Going on tour always means making a lot of compromises. So far, we’ve had nothing but good experiences with all the bands. It’s important to communicate and respect each other. But one of our highlights was definitely the Fully Automatic Tour with annisokay.
Several of your songs have been collaborations with other artists. Who is one artist that you would still love to collaborate with? What would that ideal collaboration look like to you?
The most important thing is that the song suits the featured artist. It's hard to say who we'd like to collaborate with, since we always make sure the material is a good fit in the end. But if we set that aside, it would definitely be someone like Sam Carter from Architects.
Once the album is successfully released, how will you celebrate the occasion?
While going on our headline tour at the end of 2026 and celebrate it together with our fans.
