Ray Hawthorne has returned with his latest single, “And the Horse You Rode In On,” marking the start of a whole new era of pop punk chaos.
The single is from his upcoming sophomore album, “Ray Hawthorne Isn’t Real,” which promises even more unapologetic honesty than before. Speaking on the album, he says:
Have you ever been so pissed off that you wrote a whole series of songs and then deleted most of them because they included too much personal information about the person you were pissed off at, but then one of them was actually pretty fun, so you released it? No? Just me? Cool. Well. That’s my story. Listen to it if you want a firsthand perspective on feeling like you’re getting back at someone, but in all actuality you’re just pretending you’re both still cool with each other for some reason. Or just like… turn your brain off and have fun because I say the F word a lot in the chorus.
But what does Ray want you to feel after listening to the album? What Ninja Turtle does he currently identify with? And, most importantly, is he real? You can find the answers to all this and more in our latest interview!
