Bury Tomorrow are a household name within the metalcore scene, known for their persistence and resilience in keeping metalcore relevant throughout the years, never giving up on it; retaining their classic metalcore roots while also trying to incorporate the modern trends within the scene and the industry.
The band has gone through multiple line-up changes throughout the years, but the current line up consists of lead vocalist Daniel Winter-Bates, bassist Davyd Winter-Bates, drummer Adam Jackson, lead guitarist Kristan Dawson, rhythm guitarist Ed Hartwell, and keyboardist and vocalist Tom Prendergast.
The British metalcore veterans came together way back in 2006, starting off with their debut EP, The Sleep of the Innocents, which came out in 2007. Since then, the band has released one more EP along with 7 studio albums that have progressed gradually in a journey to carve out their own sound.
The latest addition to this impressive discography is Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience, which is a lovely collection of tracks that really pulls you back into the world of nostalgic metalcore while keeping things fresh with modern production and quite stunning audio engineering.
The album starts off with "To Dream To Forget," which is a very strong opening to the album and sets the tone for what to expect from Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience. With a splendid blend of old and new, sticking to their signature sound while also paying attention to current trends, the opening track already marks the album as yet another solid addition to the band's catalogue of work.
"Villain Arc" comes next, an anthem of vengeance with a distinct punch that is very holistically representative of both the song title and the story that the album follows.
Another notable track from the album is "Silence Isn't Helping Us"
Beautiful guitar melodies in the intro instantly draw the listener in and the first verse immediately plays on your heartstrings. The chorus carries the album title within, and the second verse is simply chef's kiss. Easily one of the best verses within the entire album.
My personal favorite off the album is "Found No Throne." The acoustic intro is fantastic, the first verse is absolutely gorgeous and the chorus is so atmospheric, so ethereal. That same ambience progresses into the second verse quite beautifully and the bridge-outro is just majestic. A very emotional track that is simply unskippable.
"ParadoX," the closing track, bears a captivating ambient intro and first verse. A powerful ending to this absolute journey of an album, including a super emotional outro that leaves you feeling something cosmic.
Will You Haunt Me, With That Same Patience is now available on all platforms, and I encourage you, dear reader, to experience this album for yourself.
