Yoke Lore had an electric night at Charlotte’s popular venue The Fillmore on Saturday, February 17th. Charlotte was the second stop for Chelsea Cutler's 'The Beauty Is Everywhere' tour, and the show did not disappoint.

Adrian (lead singer of Yoke Lore) is a New York native and has been a singer-songwriter for over a decade. After attending Kenyon College, he joined the popular group Walk The Moon. Although that project was short-lived, it easily prepared him for his solo career. Later on, he pursued a more serious role in performing and focusing on his instrumental career locally. Most people would describe him as warm-hearted, soft spoken, and to have a strong connection with his faith.

Saturday night's performance was the second time in the last 10 months that Yoke Lore had performed in Charlotte, North Carolina. With a great stage presence, he performed a full set which included his most popular hits, "Beige," "Chin Up," and "Seeds," all while debuting several songs from his new album, Toward A Never Ending New Beginning, which was released in the fall of 2023.

The stage was set with moody lighting while the venue was packed with a sold out crowd full of colorful individuals. Along with Adrian, the crowd's voices vibrated throughout the building and off the walls. Yoke Lore is known for his soothing voice and wicked dance moves. All while strumming his banjo, his feet never stopped moving. He has one of the best stage presences I have seen, by far, and is constantly engaged with the crowd.

I was lucky enough to speak to Adrian for a few minutes after his set, and he plans to return in the fall for a headline tour, and to continue to work on new music this coming summer. If you have not had the chance to see Yoke Lore live, I would make it an item on your 2024 bucket list. This sold out tour will be one you talk about for a long time.
