The band hails from Melbourne, Victoria, which sits at the bottom of the country and is generally considered one of the colder parts of Australia to live in. Not that this band has noticed, with its fiery spirit and fast-paced music that keeps their audience on their feet all night.

The band is primarily self managed and produced, and self funded, the band promotes cheap tickets to their shows, focusing on drawing in music lovers rather than the money aspect of the business.
Five Buck Kid has been on the music scene of Australia since 2022, with yearly releases that continue to gain more hype and traction the longer the band plays, with their debut single being "Muse," or their recent tracks such as "Guttermouth Poet" and "I Don't Mind."

I first heard about this from a friend who does photography for bands, who heard about this from one of her friends and so forth, and since that moment I've been hooked; I mean, how could I not love the guitar in "Obsessed," that keeps the audience dancing along?
This year, the band launched their tour, traveling to several state capitals and university towns along the coast that drew in large crowds for each show, as there's one thing Australia loves, it's working class pub-rock music. It's a staple in our society as a country, and it's something that keeps the local communities together.
This band, who have well developed their sound and identity, drawing visual inspiration from Aussie legends and ideals, have zoned in on a sound that sounds similar to everything this country knows and loves, yet remains unheard and new to the population, and that in itself is impressive.
This band, if they were to tour next year, I think they'd sell out, and they'd sell out fast. And I know I'll be one of the members of their audience. Their music leaves a solid impression and a desire to hear it again live, something most musicians dream of, and one this band has achieved.
For those who haven't heard this band and are more familiar with American bands and artists, they sound like the Arctic Monkeys, Bruce Springsteen, and the Black Keys. It's an interesting mix that, when you hear it, makes sense and sounds so right.
