From Manchester, UK, Guilt Trip takes their hardcore metal sound to the next level. Formed in 2015, the band has been on a roll ever since by blending their hardcore energy with their intense riffs. From touring internationally to releasing high-quality albums frequently, Guilt Trip is a band you want to keep a close eye on this year.
Over the band's history, they've released various records like "Unrelenting Force" (2016), "Rain City" (2021), and their most recent EP, "God Forgives," which was released on February 11th. The EP features three tracks: "Dirt," "Angel Eyes," and "Burn." This EP is the bridge between their previous work and helps fans, new and old, get an idea of what to expect from their work in the future.
After listening to the EP, here is what you can expect. First off is "Dirt." The song opens with thick riffs and creates an intense energy right away. The lead singer, Jay, shines brightly in this song, with his vocals sounding raw and powerful. Second, "Angel Eyes" is a little more melodic compared to "Dirt" and shows off the band's transition to a metalcore sound. Finally, we have "Burn," which Guilt Trip previously released separately as a single in September. This song's energy doesn't stop for a second and makes it the perfect song to mosh to. Overall, "God Forgives" gives fans a run for their money, and if you are a fan of heavier hardcore metal songs, this EP is for you.

Live performances are where Guilt Trip shines the most, with their chaotic mosh pits and an atmosphere that feels like a hardcore basement show. Guilt Trip has many upcoming shows in store, most notably their 17-date co-headline tour with another UK heavy metal band, Malevolence, with support from Chamber. With this being one of their largest North American tours to date, this is a tour that you do not want to miss. Guilt Trip will also be making an American Festival appearance, with the band playing at the 2026 Vans Warped Tour in Long Beach, CA.

Not from the United States? Don't worry. Guilt Trip is making many stops across the world. Right before the North American Tour, Guilt Trip is making a few stops in Spain and Portugal from March 17th to 22nd. The band will also be making other festival appearances in the summer in Europe, including Slam Dunk Festival, Wacken Open Air, and Graspop Metal Meeting.
Guilt Trip continues to balance the DIY and heavy spirit of the hardcore scene while also creating memorable music and makes for incredible songs to be listened to anywhere, streamed, or live. Guilt Trip is a must-watch band and is rapidly becoming one of the strongest voices in the current UK metal scene.
