Bayside brought their Fall Tour 2026 to Anthology in Rochester, NY, on September 22, 2026, with Driveways and Grave Secrets in full support. The Queens-based Rock band delivered exactly the kind of show you hope for from a band that's been doing this for as long as they have: loud, emotional, tight, and completely invested from the first song to the last.
Grave Secrets
Los Angeles, CA. based Grave Secrets kicked off the show at 7:30 PM. If you haven't heard them before, they play a really cool mix of fast, heavy punk and emo rock. It's the kind of energy you get at a basement hardcore show, but with catchy choruses you can actually sing along to. It's loud and heavy, but the melodies stick in your head. The band packed a lot of punch into their nine-song performance and set the vibe for the night. For those fans who showed up early, they got to see a band definitely on the rise!

Driveways
Driveways, a pop-punk and post-hardcore trio from Saugus, Massachusetts, took the stage next. They played a hard-hitting 10-song set featuring their most popular Spotify tracks. Their fan base has grown far beyond their New England roots, and many were there tonight. Late September was the perfect time of year to hear their spooky, Halloween-themed songs like "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" and "Melancholy." Much of the band's music has this fitting autumn-like feel. The band played tight, though there were some long pauses between songs. At one point, frontman Pat Finnegan casually took a sip of water and joked about how smoothly the band transitions between songs, making the crowd laugh.
About midway in the set, Pat announced,
Our full-time bassist, his name is Derek, couldn't make it for this entire run. So we have Tom filling in for us tonight. Can you guys give it up for my friend Tom? He did this on short notice, and he's the man. He's in a band called The Wise Man's Fear. I suggest checking them out. I'll shut up. This next song is called "Lights On Long Island".
As fans cheered, Driveways continued laying down more favorites like "Skulls and Flowers" and "UFOs in the Sky," - the band kept fans singing along, and so every hand was followed by thrusting high in the air. The last song of the set, "October Forever," was definitely a fan favorite! As the band exited the stage, the final lyrics stuck in my head: "My heart is turning cold with the weather. October Forever, I'm over the terror. I'm part of it now."

Bayside
After a brief intermission, Bayside took the stage to a roar of applause from the now-full venue. The genre-bending punk rock/Emo band that formed in Queens, NYC, in 2000 has had a lengthy career, with 9 albums to date. The current lineup of frontman Anthony Raneri/guitar, Jack O'Shea/guitar, Nick Ghanbarian/bass, and Chris Guglielmo on drums has been together for over 20 years now, and that's impressive. I am vaguely familiar with their music, but while reading up on them, I was excited to see them perform live, and they did not disappoint! From the start of the show, what really stood out to me was how good they sound live- actually better than the records. Jack O'Shea's guitar work really struck a chord (pun intended). His early heavy-metal influences shine throughout. I caught an Iron Maiden-like vibe in the dual-guitar attack. Listen closely, and you'll hear detailed layers woven behind the lyrics. Great stuff! The setlist opened with material spanning Bayside's catalog, from "Big Cheese" and "Already Gone" to "They're Not Horses, They're Unicorns," "Duality," "Pigsty," and "Montauk."
What really stood out, though, was how much fans love Bayside and how much the band loves their fans. Rochester showed up ready to sing every word, and it seemed to feed right back into the band. You could feel that connection throughout the entire set.
In the first pause of the show, Nick tells fans,
"Bayside was the first ever show in this venue. However, long ago? What year was it that this place was opened?"
Jack responds, "It was 2015 (September 18, 2015, to be exact). We were doing a show in this venue." Fans go wild!
Jack shares, "We played in 2004 (December 16, 2004, is the exact date), I think; we played with My Chemical Romance at Water Street. Anyone see that? I was informed today that that show cost $25. You missed it." The fans cheer.
Anthony asks the crowd, "Who's from Rochester? Is Rochester actually in the house?" (The crowd cheers). "Okay, I wasn't sure what to expect, honestly, because Buffalo's probably here too. Right?" (More cheers erupt). "More Rochester than Buffalo- was not expecting that; Rochester showed up." Anthony shares, "I grew up in downstate, and my knowledge of upstate New York geography is limited to wherever there's a SUNY school." (The crowd laughs). "That's about it. So let's see how far we can stretch my geography."
He actually asked where fans were from, and the responses were statewide and beyond!
Anthony tells fans, "All right, well, it's been about two years or so since our last record came out. It's called "There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive". Do you guys know that one? Do you guys jam on that one? It's free, no excuses anymore. When our first records came out, I used to ask people if they bought it yet. I don't have to ask that anymore; now you just go, just listen to it. It's free. All right, well, this next song is on that new record. It's called "Castaway"".
The band played through the next songs, "Masterpiece," "Prayers, "Existing in a Crisis (Evelyn)."
Nick pauses and speaks to fans as Anthony straps on his acoustic guitar, "So thank you, guys, for singing. You know, we're playing old stuff, we're playing new stuff, and everything in between, and I'm noticing that every single person in here knows all the words to every song. Right?" (Pointing to the crowd as they cheer). "Well, that means a lot to us because we don't get to come back to Rochester to play the old stuff unless you guys listen to the new stuff, and thank you, guys, for doing that. Thank you !"
Anthony slowly plays the intro to "It Don't Exist," then pauses and looks down at the fans. "Did she say yes? Oh, hell yeah, congratulations! Give it up for my friends who just got engaged. We're all invited to the wedding. Congratulations, you guys. That's fucking awesome. This song is for you two."
A feel-good moment, and the fan connection is real! The band told fans they'd just finished a 10th album, set for release next year, and the crowd cheered! Up next, they delivered excellent versions of "Landing Feet First," "Mary," "Go to Hell," and "Monster." The energy in the room was ramping up in anticipation of the final song choices. "Sick, Sick, Sick" and "Blame It on Bad Luck" hit hard as fans sang along with the band.
For a moment, Anthony pauses and reflects, "Thank you, Rochester. I lost my best friend two days ago, and he would want me to tell you to take care of each other, to follow your dreams, and never to let anything fucking hold you down. This song is for my friend Chad Gilbert (New Found Glory- RIP 09 20, 2026). I love you. You guys take care of each other. Have a good night. Thank you very much!"
Closing out the set with an incredible version of "Devotion and Desire!" What an amazing show; I was blown away and left the venue as a new fan of the band!
