Recently exploding within the scene of hard rock, Catch Your Breath delivers a fresh sound with ridiculously hardcore energy. Their lead vocalist, Josh, is like the conductor of the group and the crowd, while guitarist Teddy, bassist Cianan, and drummer Onell follow through on rhythm and beats. Within their next-level production are innovation and imaginative progressions and breakdowns, which create a magical environment for their audience, in person and online.

Kicking off the evening was local support Surefire from Milwaukee. This act leaned into guttural screams and even the occasional pig squeal. Their live set overall was polished and well-rehearsed, earning lots of head-banging from the fans at the barricade. Their frontman sure knows how to work a crowd, all while also standing up for the causes he believes in, wearing his heart on his sleeve.

Next up was the rising rock group Colorblind, filled with catchy choruses and heavy bass lines. This act had a solid number of super fans in the audience, toting merch from previous tours. Recently, Colorblind released a new EP, in which "Car Crash" has really been taken in as a fan favorite. Frontman and lead singer Travis Mosely really puts his all into his performance and stage presence, and it shows. Constantly reaching out to connect with fans, and even hanging out to sell his own merch after his set, shows how dedicated he is to his growing success.

Music Scene Media also got to catch up with Travis for an exclusive interview behind the scenes - check it out here!

The direct support on this tour was NERV, formed of rockers Dillon Jones, Scott Buchanan, Jordan Grokett, and Tyler Clark. They took to the stage with the goal to get this crowd moving, and that they did, exciting this crowd with mosh pits and a deep connection with the audience. Although some of the fans were unfamiliar with the group before this show, the excitement heard throughout the venue was enough to win them over.

Finally, the moment the whole room was waiting for — Catch Your Breath. Leading up to them entering the stage was the low hum of the bass. As the fans excitedly waited for the band to take their places on the stage, they soaked in the last moments of calm. As the four-piece entered the stage, the crowd was begging for the first beat to drop. Upon the first drop, the crowd was enamored in the light show and simple, but effective, stage presence of frontman Josh. His connection with his fanbase goes deep, always making eye contact with those by the barricade and singing each word with them.

The most interesting and unique part of their set was their in-between song production. This band recognizes how intense their crowd can get in the pit, and they make allowances for that. Adding in a low buzz of music really allowed for the crowd to recombobulate themselves and check on those in the pit before the next song started.

Catch Your Breath will be hitting the road again this fall, so if you missed them this time around, be sure to get your tickets here.
