"Screamo" legends Eyes Set To Kill have just released the music video for their latest song, "Wilderness." The song is the latest release from the band since 2022, when "Fake" came out. This release means so many things for the band because not only is it going to usher in a new era for Eyes Set To Kill, but it is also one of the first songs in quite some time to feature founding member and bassist Anissa Rodriguez and features Jeremy Anderson from Virginia-based metalcore band RVNT.

Not only is the song itself a masterfully crafted release from the band that has been making waves in the music scene ever since their inception over 20 years ago, but the music video that accompanies it is also nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece. I mentioned it when reviewing the recent Shadow of Intent release, but seeing a music video in 2025 that focuses less on the band playing their instruments to instead focus on a story is so refreshing to see.
From the color choices to the editing to the setting of the video itself, I've found myself going back to rewatch it over and over again. I feel this shows Eyes Set To Kill giving a nod to the screamo era of their career while maintaining an era of freshness and newness that the music scene so desperately needs. In the few short hours of its release, the video has already amassed over 1,000 views on YouTube, and I am sure it is sure to do nothing but increase from here.
So, not only has the band just released this music video, but they have also announced some shows this fall in support of their album Broken Frames turning 15 years old. Tickets to see Eyes Set To Kill support He Is Legend this fall can be found at the link here.
