Dallas-based hard rock artist KVDE spent nearly a decade chasing the dream of having a music career before hitting a financial low point and stepping away. The break became the reset that he didn't know he needed. One day, out of the blue, inspiration hit, and he knew he had to write. Fast forward to today, where things have begun taking off for him now that he's creating just for himself.
While having a background in both pop and country music, his new project pulls from pop, electronic, rock, and even heavier influences. He's refusing to stay inside a neat genre box, and most importantly, he's having fun with it.
We got to chat with KVDE recently all about his hiatus from music and what keeps him going, and the band that inspired him to come back to the scene.
