I bet you've never had a (Saturday) night like this...

For almost twenty years, Pierce The Veil has been the heartbeat of an entire generation. From screaming along to “King for a Day” to quoting “Hold On Till May” in our AIM away messages, I think it’s safe to say they had a sizable impact on anyone growing up during the Warped Tour era. And no, not 2025’s Warped Tour…I mean the glory days. We may have felt like outsiders everywhere else, but at Warped Tour, we felt like we truly belonged somewhere. For that generation, Pierce The Veil was our lifeline.

The more impressive thing about Pierce The Veil, though, is their longevity. They’ve grown up with us, evolving with each new album, but have managed to never lose that spirit that first captivated us.

Though they formed in 2006, Pierce The Veil’s big breakthrough came with the release of their third studio album, “Collide With the Sky.” The album debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200 and their global reach expanded as well. They did their first headlining UK tour in addition to international festivals, including Australia.

Pierce The Veil’s “I Can't Hear You World Tour” stopped by Coastal Credit Union Music Park at Walnut Creek in Raleigh, NC this past Saturday night. Fans lined up eagerly, hours in advance, for what would probably be one of the last outdoor shows of the year.

Pierce The Veil fans were some of the most dedicated I had ever seen at a show! They showed up in their finest PTV merch and nostalgic scene attire, and sang their hearts out. This was a cathartic experience and a powerful reminder of the sense of community that still thrives in the scene today.

They opened hard and fast with "Death of an Executioner." The setlist was the perfect blend of new material and classics. I admittedly wasn't the biggest fan of "Pass The Nirvana" prior to that night, but seeing it live completely changed that for me! I haven't stopped listening to it since.

Notably, they also played “I Don’t Care If You’re Contagious” live for the second time ever. Other memorable moments were “Let These Noises Startle You In Your Sleep,” “Hell Above,” a cover of “Where Is My Mind” by the Pixies, and a killer encore — “Disasterology,” “Hold On Till May,” and the iconic “King For a Day”!

Overall, their high energy and emotional intensity truly made this one of the most unforgettable shows I have ever witnessed! I actually missed out on their NC stop on the first leg of this tour, and I'm full of regret now. After this show, I know one thing for sure: I’ll be there every time they return, screaming every word.
