The Evolution of Dying In Designer [Interview]

Dying In Designer first entered the scene with a blend of emo-rap/pop-punk/trap songs that tapped directly into the pain of a heartbreak generation. Nobody's Happy. wasn't just an album, but a lifeline. For me, it was my lifeline. The album topped my Spotify plays that year, and quite possibly saved my life.

He released a few songs afterward here and there, and then stepped out of the spotlight. Many fans, myself included, weren't sure if he'd ever return to us. Finally, in 2024, he began releasing music again. There were a number of songs released that year, and then he closed out the year with Nobody's Happy.2. The album was a bit of a summary of that era, and sound, as he shared, "Last of this sound. ‘Nobody’s Happy.2 (Deluxe)’—18 tracks. Enjoy it while it lasts. The new era is on the way. Rewriting the rules with what’s next."

Which brings us to now. With his upcoming single, “evil eyes”, Dying In Designer launches into a heavier and more aggressive new chapter where he's not just surviving the pain, he's channeling it. I sat down with him recently to discuss his journey, evolution, and a hint of what's to come in this MSM exclusive interview.
