Pop-punk/”heavy pop” powerhouse, The Home Team, are back and LOUDer than ever with their new, appropriately titled single, Loud!

It’s been over a year since The Home Team released any sort of music (not including their guest feature on Don Broco’s newest single, Birthday Party (Party In The U.S.A. Remix)) and a lot has changed for the band in the time since; The Home Team has toured nonstop with acts such as Don Broco, Senses Fail, and even had their most successful US headlining tour to date! Additionally, the band signed to Thriller Records at the beginning of 2023, with Loud being the band’s first release from the label.

Loud is an homage to fans old and new of the band, with the track featuring their signature dance-infused pop-punk sound infused with chunks of groovy, sensual sounds. To clear the air, Loud is 100% a track featuring themes of a sexual nature, but the song’s rhythm/catchiness is so addicting that most listeners may not put two and two together upon the first couple of listens. Frontman Brian Butcher describes Loud as a song "about finding your confidence in giving 110% to things that may be outside of your immediate comfort zone.” As with every song that The Home Team has released thus far, this track is no stranger to the “bouncy,” groovy tones that fans are familiar with, and the presence of “down-tuned” guitar/bass are intact as well.

The best way to experience Loud, other than seeing the song performed live, is through the song’s official music video. The video parodies the rise of boybands in the early 90s, and the over-the-top music videos that played nonstop on MTV/VH1. In my opinion, the subtle details of the music video such as the little “Did You Know?” bubbles that appear throughout, and the switching from a digital camera to a film camera are unique and help separate this video from others of the same nature.

With 2024 on the horizon, The Home Team knew that fans were eager to hear what’s next, especially with the sudden surge in the band’s popularity in 2023. Since the band has a next contract with Thriller Records, it’s safe to say that a new album/EP will be released in the coming months, with Loud serving as the beginning of the band’s new release cycle!
