Leading up to the doors opening, fans filed in a line that wrapped around the Ramkat in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Ramkat is a two-level venue that holds up to 1,000 screaming fans, and that capacity stood true for 49 Winchester and Colby Acuff on February, 15th, 2024.

Kicking off the show was American country singer-songwriter, Colby Acuff. Acuff is an Idaho native with a raw and real country sound. His music contains a sense of truth and meaning that can be felt through his voice. Acuff recently released his first major label record Western White Pines after signing with Sony Music Nashville. The title song for this album came to Acuff after his move to Nashville that a part of him will always reside in the Idaho mountains with the Western White Pine.

Putting on an amazing set, Colby Acuff had the crowd screaming his lyrics to songs like “If I were the Devil”, “Western White Pines”, and many others. The crowd hung on every note played, clapping along to the beat, you could feel the energy all throughout the Ramkat.

49 Winchester, an alt country band from Castlewood, Virginia, shut down the Ramkat. 49 Winchester originated from a group of neighborhood friends with a passion for music. The bands origin from Russell County prompted their most-played song on Spotify, “Russell County Line”, from their album Fortune Favors the Bold.

Bold is a perfect description of 49 Winchester's performance that broke down the doors of the Ramkat. Building up to their set, more people continued to pack into the Ramkat. Two of the three entrances were left open with standing room outside as people gathered excitedly for the band's performance. The crowd erupted as 49 Winchester took the stage, echoing out to downtown Winston-Salem. The energy and stage presence from 49 Winchester was amplifying keeping the crowd engaged and mesmerized. Their set included songs dating back to their album The Wind, 2019.

This is just the beginning of 49 Winchester's Spring ‘24 tour, with many more shows to go. This is an experience you do not want to miss out on. Be sure to catch 49 Winchester in a city near you!
