ME. is a band that is formed by the founding members of Taking Back Sunday, yet transcends their prior work together with their new project.
On the 24th of July, ME. released their debut album All Good Things, and of course I had to do a follow-up on the full album as I reviewed their first single release, "Special," and I was not let down at all.
All Good Things really gave us all the good things an album needs to showcase what this band is truly capable of. It gives us fun jams like "Violent People", slower love songs like "Big Smiles", down to a great little intro piece to the album. This album reminds us that ME. is its own body of work and deserves its own space in music.
This album could not have flown into my top album releases of 2026 any faster than it did. One playthrough was all it took and even before the time duration of the album was up, I was sold on how much I really loved it.
It's fun and keeps a depth to the songs that scratches the need for even the fun tracks to come with a deep meaning. It has a mix of Midwest emo and old-school pop-punk vocals that is really a nice touch to go along with the lyrics that they have going. It has that feel that the band is playing it right in front of you when you play the album off a DSP, and that is an element of music that I really love and hope to hear more of again. I just know the set lists for shows based around this band are a great time based on the sound from All Good Things alone!
Some of my personal favorite songs off the album are "Bloodsport", "Violent People", and "Special". Two of them are more on the fun-sounding side, and the other is a little more on the side of being a more emotionally driven track. Hearing "Special" as a part of a whole concept is a really great experience too as I got to hear it without any other influences from the new project and then again now as a part of the whole. Hearing it in the flow of an album adds to the depth that I loved from ME. in the beginning!

ME. keeps me on the edge of my seat with their new releases, as each one feels more like a song I needed in my life than the next. It's not only relatable music but the kind that can make you cry and dance along at the same time. At the very least, you'll be screaming along with every word to each track.
This is an album you'll need for your car jams and your sad playlists. Hell, you can even send "Big Smiles" to your crush, so this album is versatile in playlisting uses.
