Of Virtue is a four-piece metalcore band from Lansing, Michigan. Known for their melodic hooks and elements that are based in hardcore, this band slams in with their hit single "Flatline".
They dropped this hit back on the 28th of August, and it has been stuck on repeat on my playlist and in my head ever since! It's a fun, heavy party hit in the way that it can be blared for the meaning or just to jump around to. This song is easily a hit that with the high energy chorus and fun verses that keep you engaged throughout the whole song - one of the core talents the band Of Virtue has!
The chorus is super catchy with lines like "Sick, sick, sick of my mind / Don't tell me I'm fine / I'm running out of time, caught in a flatline / Fight, fight, fight for my life / I'd kill to survive" that get caught in your head for days are what help make this song the banger that it is. It hits hard and heavy but keeps a more accessible tone, since there isn't much vocal harshness, making it more radio-friendly and is more media sync-friendly!
Of Virtue really nailed it with this song, as they have with many others! I think this is one of my favorite singles to come out as a precursor to their new album Death Of The Altar that is set to come out on the 2nd of October.
This band has a sound that is going to help them climb to anywhere that they want to end up. This single, along with the others off the Death Of The Altar album and their prior works such as "Chained," features the band Descape and "Don't Kill Me," a song they feature on from the band Chaosbay. "Cannibals" is also a really fun single from their earlier discography that you should check out.
"Flatline" is a great introduction song to Of Virtues as well. The catchy beats and lyrics will have you two-stepping as you yell along will sell the band for you if you don't love them already. "Flatline" was co-written alongside Lee Albrecht (Bilmuri, The Devil Wears Prada, etc.) and Evan McKeever (Starset, Koe Wetzel, etc.) so you can only guess why this track goes so hard.

If you're still on the fence about if you should give "Flatline" a listen then I hope that knowing that this banger should be in some action films, rebellion scenes, and even in some killer supernatural-based works would take those media pieces and excell them through the roof.
I really hope that this track takes off! I am really looking forward to the Death Of The Altar album as well! Mark your calendars for the release day, October 2nd!
